Transformers 7.4.7

The Show

Anniversary Shenanigans

A year ago, me and some people brought back to life the Optibotimus Show.  I really cannot believe it’s been a year that we’ve been having this fun.  I cannot thank everyone enough that’s helped grow this into what it is today.  I didn’t expect it to last this long.  A special place in my heart has been touched by all of you that put hard work and dedication into this.  The show might have my name attached to it…but it wouldn’t exist without all your help.  Simon, Charles, Chelle, Tim, Austin, Tyler…to name but a few have supported the show and helped me a lot along the way.  A lot of other people have shown their support too and continue to.  So to everyone my deepest thank you.  You’ve made this all worthwhile.  Let’s hope for more fun in the future.  Thanks again

Normally we don’t talk about video reviews here unless it’s to shamelessly promote ourselves, but Peaugh has posted a new video review of the Ice Cream Twins. The vehicle mode is a deluxe sized 50’s style ice cream truck while both robots are roughly scout sized.

That’s a lot of vroom vrooms

Some new voice actors

And just because we like confusing you all
TFW2005 members Chris McFeely and tehKOREANdude have compiled a near complete list of the voice actors in ROTF. Though, some are different than previously reported.
Full voice cast:
Optimus Prime – Peter Cullen
Bumblebee – Does not speak in the film
Ratchet – Robert Foxworth
Ironhide – Jess Harnell
Sideswipe – Andre Sogliuzzo
Arcee – Grey DeLisle
Jetfire – Mark Ryan
Mudflap – Reno Wilson
Skids – Tom Kenny
Wheelie – Tom Kenny
Jolt – Does not speak in the film
Megatron – Hugo Weaving
Starscream – Charles Adler
Soundwave – Frank Welker (but lacking the vocodered voice)
The Fallen – Tony Todd
Scalpel “The Doctor” – John DiCrosta
Demolishor also speaks, although the various other Constructicons do not. Devastator reportedly just grunts and roars, so there is no confirmation if Frank Welker is providing his voice. Additionally Kevin Michael Richardson provides the voice of an ancient Transformer seen in one sequence.

He could either make the movie, or break it.
A new clip has been posted online featuring interaction between Wheelie and Mikaela. Wheelie is sneaking around her garage and has some comical moments while trying to retrieve the Allspark fragment in her safe. Eventually he gets caught by Mikaela and has some choice words with her.
It’s also worth nothing that this clip is now available in HD on Youtube.

So… This is it? This is the final piece to the trio puzzle?

Fun Facts from MichaelBay.com

Robots
14 robots last time, 46 robots this time (ILM only)
If you had all the gold ever mined in the history of man, you could build a little more than half of Devastator.
Optimus Prime will be life size on IMAX screens in many forest fight shots.
Devastator’s hand is traveling 390 miles per hour when he punches the pyramid.
The pyramid destruction simulation was 8 times bigger than the old rigid simulation all-time record holder at ILM.
All robot parts laid out end to end would stretch from one side of California to the other, about 180 miles
Devastator’s parts stacked tip to tip would be as tall as 58 empire state buildings.
If all the texture maps on the show were printed on 1 square yard sheets, they would cover 13 football fields.

Disk space
TF1 took 20 Terabytes of disk space. Trans2 took 145 Terabytes. Seven times bigger!
145 terabytes would fill 35,000 DVDs. Stacked one on top of the other without storage cases, they would be 145 feet tall.

Rendering times
If you rendered the entire movie on a modern home PC, you would have had to start the renders 16,000 years ago (when cave paintings like the Hall of Bulls were being made) to finish for this year’s premiere!
A single imax shot in the movie (df250) would have taken almost 3 years to render on a top of the line home PC running nonstop.
IMAX frame render times: As high as 72 hours per frame!

Imax
Optimus Prime will be life size on IMAX screens in many forest fight shots.
Imax frames take about 6 times longer than anamorphic to render.
IMAX frame render times: As high as 72 hours per frame!

ILM screen time
ILM Screen Time is about 51 minutes.

Devastator
Devastator is as tall as a 10 story building.
Devastator has more than 10 times the number of individual parts found in an average car.
Laid out end to end, Devastator’s parts would be almost 14 miles long.

Devastator totals
Number of geometric pieces: 52632
The total number of polygons: 11,716,127
The total length of all pieces: 73090 feet
The total length of all pieces: 13.84 miles
